Being a North Catholic alumni, I heard of Dagwood's many times but was never there. This year we decided to try the Dyngus Day festival. The Polish food was excellent, almost like home cooking. Being of Polish ancestry, I never heard of the Haluskie cabbage & noodles, and it was delicious. Definitely will attend Dyngus Day again and will get there in between.
I really had such a great experience at Dagwood's! It was my first time going and I have to say their seafood mac and cheese is hands down the best I've ever had, it's a must order! Our server was great and the drinks were made very well! The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be having dinner there as often as we can!
Dinner was well paced, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Our drinks were spot on, and our appetizers came pretty fast. The Vern Bone-in Wings had a nice bite, and the Thai Calamari was a nice twist. Another round of drinks and our dinner arrived ... hot and delicious.
Great neighborhood establishment. Exquisite and immaculately prepared food. Staff was very friendly and even offered my mother her own jacket because she was cold. When going back to the car, the guy outside with the most fantastic hat I've seen chatted us up a bit and grabbed a flower for my mother! Class Act. Highly recommend, and be sure to reward this place.
There is never a time where i haven't had a five star experience here. i fell in love with the she crab soup, there really is nothing like it around here at all. every dish comes out fresh and taste like a sunday dinner your grandmother would have made. this place truly never ever disappoints with any dish here. looking for a comfort dish, highly recommend coming!
